Chinese Famille Rose Ginger Jar with Reticulation and Lid
A fascinating closed ginger jar from China, hand-painted in the classic Famille Rose style with vibrant cartouches depicting figures in garden scenes. The jar is complete with its original bamboo or rope netting, lid, and cork — a rare find in such complete condition.
The body is adorned with the Wan Shou Wu Jiang pattern, characterized by four circles with traditional auspicious characters. Red marks are present in the glaze on the bottom. The jar still contains its original ginger syrup and is presumably from the 20th century.
