Heron with Shrimp and Crab – Hand Carved Wooden Sculpture (36.5 cm)

This beautiful Indonesian wood carving dates from the influential 1960s and 1970s. The sculpture depicts a large heron or egret with a crab and a lobster. It was crafted with great delicacy and attention to detail. To further emphasize and protect the wood grain and patina, the sculpture has been treated with linseed oil varnish. The resulting patina and light signs of wear give it a unique vintage charm and character. These are intentionally applied and testify to its authenticity. There is no damage.
